Volunteer trustees wanted
We are looking for volunteers to join our board of trustees and to help us in the next stage of our development.
We value the unique diversity of communities that make Somerset the place it is. We stand for equality, representation and inclusion for all. We are committed to ensuring that our Governance reflects this statement.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’d like to invite people from any background living in Somerset, the south west and nationally to join our board of trustees. No experience of theatre, Somerset or the charity sector is required.

Our rules dictate that we can have a maximum of 12 trustees at any given time.
SUPPORT & ACCESS
If you're interested in joining us but you feel daunted by a lack of experience in a role like this, please let us know. It may be possible for one of our existing trustees to support you.
If you feel you may have any barriers to access please let us know as we would like to do everything we can to make it easier for trustees to attend meetings.
WHAT DOES A CHARITY TRUSTEE DO?
Charity trustees are the people who share ultimate responsibility for governing a charity and directing how it is managed and run. You can find out more about being a trustee here.
Wassail’s board of trustees currently meet once every three months to discuss the charity’s performance with the management team. Meetings are held online via Zoom. Trustees also provide support for the management team on an ad hoc basis outside of these formal meetings.
