An expression of interest with examples of your work
We are looking for a composer to help us weave some musical magic into our new fairytale, Apples & Pears.
We specifically want someone to work in collaboration with writer Nick White, and director Joanna Procter, during June/July to write some songs for the show, and to make offers about how we can incorporate music in the show to add to the theatrical experience.
We’re working on the assumption that we will cast five brilliant professional actor-musicians to join our community ensemble to bring the show to life.
We’re not sure what the musical language will be for the show, but we do know that it won’t be folk music. That’s simply because we’ve been developing the characters over the past five years, and incorporated a lot of folk-inspired music in those stories, and we want to find something new.
